West Dorset Labour Party

Lee Rhodes electoral address

Lee Rhodes – standing for Town and District councils
Living in the centre of the Dorchester West Ward, I am married to Mandy and we have two children at the local first and middle schools.
I strongly believe in public service and would like to serve my local community in the district and town councils.  In the past I have been part of the leadership team of the Grove Pre School in the role of Treasurer.  More recently I have been running a course called ‘Made of Money’ with the Dorchester Poverty Action Group to help people deal with money management issues in the family.
I attend Dorchester Baptist Church, where in the past I have been part of the leadership team and the church Treasurer.  I am part of the local Christian Aid organising committee, coordinating the collection over much of old and new Poundbury.
I have a belief that politics should ensure it serves the people.  Like many across Britain, I am concerned with the direction of the coalition government.  I am dismayed at their plans for the NHS and other public services and feel duty bound to try and offer an alternative to other dissatisfied voters.
